A Stationary Odyssey

Standing. Yep, that's Emma standing on her own. It doesn't last long now, but that will come shortly I'm sure.
She's also playing on her own, though sometimes I wonder at what she's playing.
And, just so you don't think we have a life of our own, we went out to dinner for Laurie's birthday, courtesy of her parents. They took Emma for the evening, and we went to Laurie's current favorite sushi place. We had pirate sushi, though I had to provide the pirates. :-)

Emma's truck. For Christmas, my brother and sister-in-law gave Emma a cute little farm truck. She's liked it well enough as a toy to push around and watch zoom by, but today I put her in the back and pushed her around in it. She thought that was absolutely great.

She also got a balloon earlier in the week, which was also plenty of fun.

But of course, she also likes to play with the dishwasher and its contents...

Just after Christmas, we went to Philadelphia for a friend's wedding. Of course, my pictures of Keith and Kate didn't come out, but here are a few pictures from the trip.

Here's Laurie in front of Independence Hall. The tickets for the day were sold out by the time we got there, so we didn't look at the inside at all.

Emma enjoying her new stroller and warm coat. She loves watching the scenery pass by.

And here we are at the wedding. The little gifts on the table were Christmas crackers, which are colorfully wrapped tubes that go "pop" when you open them. Mine had the paper crown and a kazoo, which Emma is trying out in the picture with Laurie.
